今夏も蓮の立花を。

蓮の立花レッスンへ、去年に続き今年も参加させていただきました。
蓮のために必要な下準備、ススキを素敵に魅せる扱い、胴のシャガの扱いなどなど格闘すること長時間。
持ちが良くないためいよいよスピーディに立てなければならないのに、蓮への尊敬の想いとは裏腹に、立てる作業は遅々として進まず…
お手直し時に、先生が見越下の桔梗を請と流枝の間に移動したことにより、花がより可憐に見え、私の緊張も少しほぐれました。
辛抱強くご指導下さり有難うございました。

来年も蓮の立花をお稽古出来たらと思います。

Following last year’s, took part in lotus Rikka lesson also this summer.
Struggled a lot, eg, several preparations especially needed for lotus, how best to arrange eulalia leaves, some preparations for Iris japonica as Do, etc.
Although I had to arrange more quickly as lotus is such an ephemeral floral material and wanted to show my deep respect for holy lotus, I was so slow and spent a lot of time arranging each material.
When Sensei made a final check, moved Japanese bellflower for Mikoshishita to in between Uke and Nagashi.  This small twist made bellflower look lovelier, which helped ease my tension.
Appreciative of Mori Sensei’s advices and encouragement with patience.
Hope to be able to take the lesson next summer again.
