Took a Rikka lesson with the prairie gentian being the main material.
Although worried that the vase would be a bit too small for Rikka, prairie gentian’s lovely pink hue, together with the gentle curve of Spiraea cantoniensis branches, helped to balance the smaller vase size with Rikka volume. Hope I could somehow show a lighthearted spring landscape in my work.
Meantime, arranged Iris japonica for the first time. Struggled to do a lot of work to get the leaves fitted for Liatris, but grateful to be able to learn something new.
Mori Sensei, thank you very much for this Rikka lesson as enthusiastic with the detailed explanation as ever.
