立花ビギナーズレッスン　蓮に挑戦

今回初めて蓮の立花に挑戦しました。

まず蓮を立花に使用する場合、特別な道具やいくつかの前準備が必要なことを学びました。

蓮は池坊いけばなでは大変格の高い花材で、また、殆どの部分(葉、茎、根など)が食用、薬用になり、私も蓮への尊敬の念は格別です。

が、開き葉は極端に乾燥しやすくスピードを持って立てないと！と焦る中でも時々霧吹きをし、何とか保って〜と願いながら、先生のお手直しをいただき完成にこぎつけました。

蓮は、雑念だらけの私とは全く別の、清浄で神聖な世界に生きていらっしゃるので、今回の私の数々の不手際を大目に見て、いつかまたお稽古させて下さいとの勝手なお願いも、広い心で受け入れて下さると思います。多分…

🟩蓮、オクロレウカ、シャガ、鳴子ユリ、オミナエシ、ギボウシ、トルコ桔梗

Practiced, for the first time, lotus in Rikka style.
Learned that some more tools and some preparations were needed especially when handling lotus in Rikka.
Lotus is one of the most revered floral materials in Ikenobo ikebana.  In addition, it has been very utilized due to being edible and medicinal (leaves, stems, roots, etc).  So I really respect it.
However, as the open leaves used as shin and uke got dry and withered quickly, I had to handle speedily while quite often spraying.  After a struggle with lotus and other materials, I could finish with much support from Sensei.
Lotus is supposed to be living in a holy world (associated with Buddhism), where people like myself full of idle thoughts can never reach, so I wish it would overlook my unskillful handling and allow me to practice again.  Hope my request wouldn’t sound too selfish or too optimistic.
Grateful to Mori Sensei for guiding us every process carefully and patiently.
