レンギョウで木草挿し交ぜデビュー

レンギョウの三ヶ所遣いで木草挿し交ぜのお稽古をさせていただきました。

草物からの学びもベースにありつつ、木物ならではのワイヤー使いや初めて出会う胴・前置用花材など新たな学びがあり、長時間の立調で体はヘトヘト、手はワイヤーと松脂で真っ黒ベトベトでしたが、伊吹の芳香に助けられ、新しいことを学んだ嬉しさで心は満たされたお稽古時間でした。

森先生、草物から次のステージへ導いて下さり有難うございます。
木物の立花を継続してお稽古して行きたいと思います。

Took a Rikka lesson using both woody and grassy materials.  Forsythia was the main one used for Shin, Uke and Hikae.
Although what I learned from Rikka with only grassy materials could be applied, there were things I newly learned during the lesson, eg, wiring techniques to handle the woody stems, materials new to me for Do and Maeoki.
Took longer to create the work, got exhausted and my hands got filthy with wires and pine resin, but with the help of therapeutic effect of Chinese juniper’s refreshing fragrance (hinokitiol-like substance?), enjoyed the lesson with new learning.
Mori Sensei, very grateful for guiding us to a next stage from Rikka with grassy materials only to both woody and grassy ones.  I’ll continue taking Rikka lessons to be able to handle better the woody materials.
